This site is intended to satisfy those who are curious about the identity of the actors and actresses who appear in or do voice-overs for British commercials. It also includes the title and recording artist for the music used in these commercials.

All of the entries included here are taken from adverts appearing on ITV, Channel Four, Channel Five and UK based satellite and cable stations that first appeared in 1996 or later.

There are currently 1653 artists (with Duncan Wells at the number one spot) and 945 advertisers (with Nestlé leading the bunch) that combine to make a total of 2984 adverts.

A good place to start is the Advert Listings or you can click on one of the menu items to the left. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. If you are still not convinced, this site was Steve Wright's website of the day on his Radio Two show on Monday 8th May, 2000.

Many of the music entries on this site (1062 to be exact) have direct links to Amazon. This will hopefully provide you with a little more information about the track and possibly a chance to hear the track as some of the album entries contain links to Real Audio samples. Oh, and while you are there you could always buy the album if you like it :)

There is a new CD available containing tracks featured in various television adverts and programs as well as several films. It is called Screen Cuts and contains 40 tracks.	There is another CD available called The Best TV Ads...Ever which contains over 40 tracks featured in television adverts in the UK.
Along the same lines, there is a new 2 CD set called Commercial Breaks which contains 26 tracks featured in television adverts in the UK.	Another CD featuring TV adverts is called Commercial Break which contains 25 "classic" tracks.
And last of all is another complilation called Off Your Box - Music To Watch TV By which contains 22 tracks of advert music entertainment.

10th November 2002

Just a quick update to tell you how things are going with the re-write. After a slow start, the main framework is now in place and I have just about completed the forums and new look guestbook. This will be the last update before I start work in a new more interactive version of the UK Television Adverts. This site currently consists of static HTML pages but this will be converted over the next few weeks into an ASP.NET site which will allow more regular updates, better searching, user updates, forums, etc. If you have any suggestions on how the new site should work, then please contact me by clicking here.

Major site update with all new look and feel but it's not just a face lift. I have changed the way the advert listings are displayed which should make it easier to find what you need.

I have updated the Java TV to display images from adverts, added loads of images to the Java picture bar (still not sure what it is for though).

For those looking for the music to the Budweiser advert following the progress through the Budweiser factory, it is called "Neighbors Quality" and was produced by McHale Barone in New York. I don't know the name of the recording artist which is why it doesn't appear in the listings and as far as I know, it is currently not available in the shops :(
